Kathryn J. Spearman
Dr. Spearman’s research focuses on the intersection of child maltreatment and intimate partner violence. Her work examines how experiences of abuse and coercion - and legal system responses to these experiences - impact social determinants of health. Dr. Spearman uses mixed-method study designs to center survivor perspectives and needs, and translate these findings into actionable policy change and interventions that promote health, safety, and well-being of children and their protective parents.
